Mineralogical Tracers of Gold and Rare-Metal Mineralization in Eastern Kazakhstan

Replenishment of mineral resources, especially gold and rare metals, is critical for progress in the mining metallurgical industry Eastern Kazakhstan. To substantiate scientific background exploration, we study microinclusions minerals from rare-metal fields, as well trace-element patterns ores their hosts that may mark mineralization. The revealed compositions gold-bearing sulfide a number typical (magnetite, goethite, arsenopyrite, antimonite, silver) elements (Fe, Mn, Cu, Pb, Zn, As, Sb) can serve exploration guides. analyzed samples contain micrometer lead (alamosite, kentrolite, melanotekite, cotunnite) nickel (bunsenite, trevorite, gersdorffite) phases accessory cassiterite, wolframite, scheelite, microlite. bear native (with Ag Pt impurities) amenable to concentration by gravity flotation methods. Multistage pegmatite mineralization be predicted presence assemblages including cleavelandite, muscovite, lepidolite, spodumene, pollucite, tantalite, microlite, etc. such Ta, Nb, Be, Li, Cs, Sn. Pegmatite veins diverse Ta (columbite, tantalite-columbite, manganotantalite, ixiolite, microlite) accumulated metals late during evolution magmatic system. discovered mineralogical geochemical criteria are useful purposes.
